NDT & Visual Inspection
Rope Access crews are ideally suited to carry out all forms of NDT and Visual Inspection in all places, including confined spaces. RAT USA Inspection Technicians are trained and certified to SNT-TC-1A standards. Key to the efficiency of the work is the multi-tasking ability of the teams. NDT technicians can be paired with insulators allowing the crew to both open the insulation and take the readings. Our crews quickly gain access to the jobsites and regularly perform the following services:
NDT : UT – Digital Thickness and Shear Wave, MT, PT , ACFM, PMI
Visual Inspection : VT, API 510, 570, 653, NACE
Bridge Inspection – FHWA-NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges
Wind Energy - Blade Inspection, Root Crack External / Internal
Rope Access crews can also be used to position other equipment. We often set up shots for Radiography crews and place sensors and crawlers for Automated UT, EMAT, Guided Wave, Acoustic Emission, Real Time X-Ray, and other high level NDT services.
Inspection reports can be generated onsite or back at the office. If needed, we can use video feeds for immediate information. We have Autocad capabilities for complicated surveys.
